Business to business

Understanding the benefit of Business to Business opportunities

If you take a good look at the many business opportunities available today most will centralise around selling a product or service to other consumers. Whether you would offer memberships, benefit packages, residential services, health products, or any other number of customer-focused items, your target audience would most likely be consumers just like yourself. This area of marketing is called “B2C”, better known as “Business (that’s you) to Consumer (that’s who you want)”.

We’re going to focus on the other side of the street. The part of town that many opportunity seekers tend to forget about. B2B marketing, or “Business (remember, that’s you) to Business (that’s who you want)”, is a multi-billion dollar arena that is still virtually untapped by non-corporate business builders such as yourself.

Businesses have different motivations for buying than consumers. Consumers tend to be motivated emotionally…you need to make them happier, healthier, wealthier or more attractive. Businesses have a whole different mindset…they are motivated financially. Offer something that solves a problem, cuts costs, boosts profits, or just all around makes things easier, and you will have found a winner.

Keep in mind that we’re not talking about approaching companies like BT or Microsoft. You want small businesses, not conglomerates, when pursuing a B2B opportunity. You want businesses that don’t already have “departments” capable of handling what you’re selling and you don’t want companies with pockets deep enough to woo Madison Avenue.

For a sole entrepreneur to make B2B marketing successful, he or she needs to approach local businesses…the kind of shops that still treasure community spirit and understand the value of a customer. Show them how you can save them money, make them money, or boost customer loyalty without risk and they are all yours.

The overall point is this, don’t get caught up thinking that you have to sell to consumers to build a successful business. The B2B sector of the economy is booming, even more so with the advent of the Internet, and many opportunities for wealth abound. Only one question remains. Are you going to grab your slice of the pie?

Members of our elottery show local companies, charities and organisations how they can generate additional income by sharing the benefits of playing in a Euromillions or UK Lotto syndicate. Of course you can use this approach with many affiliate and networkmarketing programs. Try it I think you will be surprised  by the results!
